The Intensivist Company has clinical, operational and implementation expertise. Dr. Hoyt and Dr. Rainey have both served as Presidents if the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and together represent over 70 years of Critical Care Medicine practice.
Dr. Hoyt has been a leader in the evolution of critical care medicine at the national level for over 35 years. He remains active as a hands on intensivist at the bedside, and continues to shape the face of critical care today by assisting hospitals across the country in developing intensivist programs. Optimizing patient care and access to care are the cornerstone of Dr.Hoyt’s methodology. His clients have realized overwhelming acceptance of their intensivist programs and sustained measurable results in a fraction of the time reported by other programs.
Dr. Rainey has over 35 years experience as an Intensive Care Unit director and educator. His broad range of experience and involvement in Critical Care extends from the ICU bedside to leadership in national organizations and policy determining bodies. He is one of three physician advisors to the Leapfrog Group and has been the Chairman of the IHI Critical Care Improvement Collaborative since their inception in 1996. In these positions he has direct experience with hundreds of ICU’s of all varieties.
